Long long ago, the author, Jeri Howitt, shared her country home with her son, her husband, many ponies, sheep, dogs, cats, but most important to her son—mice!
He loved his mice. Three mice eventually became twenty mice, which eventually became…many, many mice.
One morning, the author got to thinking that some people would not want to share their home with twenty, or many, many mice. Maybe not even a mouse. What can these non-mouse lovers do—especially if they deeply love the mouse-lover?
This burning question lead to this wonderful tale about the consequences of love, except the author turned her son into a cat, and decided that while she was at it, she would make herself into a little girl. Voila, A Tale of Two Loves, was born.
